FKS 228
Öhlins NIX 22 cartridge kits are based on our experience learned through decades of testing and racing in high tier championships. Our cartridge kits deliver loads of performance together with stable damping characteristics while ensuring great comfort and contributing to rider confidence. With the NIX22 cartridge kits this also available for motorcycles with conventional front forks.
Each NIX 22 Öhlins cartridge kit has been tested extensively and tailor made to suit the individual requirements and characteristics for each individual bike. In combination with the well proven “NIX” design which features compression damping in the left leg and rebound damping in the right leg, it allows for a more precise function and stability. All adjustments including spring preload are made at the top cap.
The Öhlins cartridge system fits into the original front fork, springs are included. Please follow our recommendations regarding spring rates and oil in relation to rider’s weight and preference listed in the specific cartridge kit’s mounting instruction.
Installation Tools
For a correct installation of the cartridge kit into the standard front fork the following tools are required. These tools are not included and need to be purchased in addition at the Öhlins online shop.
- Stopper plate 8/10/12, part no. 02810-03
- Tool, pull up M8, part no. 01765-08
Additional Consumables
Various operating materials may be required for the professional installation of the cartridge kit. These are not included in the scope of delivery and can also be ordered via the Öhlins online shop. Please refer to the installation instructions for the respective product.

Öhlins does not offer technical support to end users. Therefore it is strongly recommended to have the cartridge kit installed by a professional motorcycle or suspension workshop. Authorized Öhlins dealers and Service Centers can be found HERE.
