Description
This kit includes the motorsport parts to delete your factory oil level sensor and add a traditional oil dipstick instead. Our kit uses a new oil dipstick tube bolted to the underside of the oil pan where the oil level/quality sensor is installed on production cars. This is a kit that includes the tube, dipstick, o-ring on oil pan, mounting nuts, engine bay bracket, and a retaining spring clip.
Note: this kit allows you to overfill by 1/2 liter to help prevent oil starvation under high G loads.
Note: deleting the oil sensor will result in a error message and fault code that does not affect drivability. Custom coding from a third party software vendor can electronically de-activate the oil sensor. BimmerWorld does not provide this custom coding.
