Description
These plates completely cover the brake duct openings on an E46 M3 front bumper to block airflow to the brake ducts on faster tracks that don’t stress the braking system and cooling ducts are unnecessary. We block off the E46 brake ducts to get pads up to temperature faster and retain heat in the brakes for faster response. This is especially important on tracks with short braking zones where we want to retain heat in the braking system for maximum pad performance. These plates have been designed for minimal disruption of airflow on the front bumper surface.
These 5052 aluminum plates have been cut for the factory and replica M3 front bumpers. They install with stainless screws and nuts so you can easily remove or install as needed. All hardware is included. These come with a semi-gloss black finish but can be vinyled to match your livery.
Fitment Note: these will only fit an M3 bumper (factory or replica) and will not fit a ZHP or M-Tech II bumper.
Performance Note: when these are in place remove your brake duct hose. Otherwise the cooling duct will be completely sealed and no airflow will get through to the rotor.
