Description
This caliper rebuild kit includes piston seals to rebuild one of the front brake calipers on the BMW models listed below. A caliper rebuild kit is an easy and extremely affordable way to fix a stuck caliper, maintain balanced braking performance, and maximize the capabilities of your worn OE brake components. Rebuilding the caliper yourself is more work but saves you the expense of buying a full caliper and dealing with a core charge.
Calipers should be rebuilt in pairs on the same axle (i.e. – both fronts or both rears) to maintain brake balance. Rebuild Kits are sold per caliper so order 2 for both calipers. Order an extra in case of mistakes or to have as a spare.
This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many brake components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty – the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
